Interventional oncology for cats and dogs offers a cutting-edge, minimally invasive approach to diagnosing and treating cancer using advanced imaging techniques. Our veterinary oncology specialists and veterinary imaging specialists utilise these methods, resulting in fewer complications, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays compared to conventional surgery. This is particularly beneficial for oncology in cats, where minimally invasive options can be crucial.

MARS offers Near-Infrared Fluorescence (NIRF) Lymphatic Imaging, enabling more accurate cancer staging and the identification of metastases that may not be visible. NIRF also aids sentinel node mapping (identification of cancer draining lymph nodes) and complex tumour resections. We are one of the very few centres in the country to offer this technology which we utilise via either minimally invasive (laparoscopic & thoracoscopic) or open techniques.
