Dr Euan McLean
BSc, DVM (hons)
Surgical Registrar
Euan has spent his life immersed in veterinary care, having grown up in his family’s vet clinic in Central Victoria. He graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2019 and was granted the Memorial Prize for Surgical Excellence.
Euan then went on to complete two surgical internships and a European-accredited Surgical Residency program. He is currently waiting to sit his final examinations prior to becoming a surgical specialist.
Throughout this time Euan has published research and presented at international conferences on the treatment of cruciate ligament rupture, including papers focused on Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) and CORA-Based-Levelling-Osteotomy (CBLO). He has also published on the use of new technology for minimally invasive laparoscopic ovariectomy (spey/desexing surgery).
Euan has a keen interest in orthopaedics, trauma surgery and spinal neurosurgery (specifically IVDD), and has undertaken externships with leading orthopaedic and trauma hospitals across Europe, America and Australia. He looks forward to providing the highest standard of surgical care for the patients at MARS.
Outside of work, Euan enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, camping, and taking his rescue Wolfhound X ‘Lupa’ on adventures around Victoria.
